TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Senior musician, singer, and songwriter Deddy Dores has died on Tuesday evening, May 17, 2016.
Deddy’s death was first reported via @jkrecord twitter account. “Rest in peace Deddy Dores.. #ripdeddydores #deddydores,” tweeted the JK Records’ account on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
Deddy was reportedly died of a hearth attack at 11:45 p.m. in Bintaro International Hospital. The man born in Surabaya, November 28, 1950, was laid out in wake house, Jalan Kasuari, Bintaro Jaya Sektor 9, and planned to be burried in Sumedang, West Java.
Deddy started his career by forming Rhapsodia band. However, he first came into prominence when he produced and wrote songs for singer Nike Ardilla. In his performances, he had always worn his signature sunglasses.
Together with Nike Ardilla he produced best-selling albums such as Bintang Kehidupan in 1992 and Sandiwara Cinta in 1995 that has sold two million copies.
