TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pertamina to postpone the release of Pertalite fuel in Manado City, North Sulawesi Province, as it is still preparing various supporting infrastructures.
“We’re still preparing infrastructure of Pertalite fuel, because it should be well-prepared,” Customer Relation MOR VII Pertamina Ibnu Adiwena said in Manado on Thursday, November 26.
Ibnu said it is expected to be released in Manado in 2016 once the infrastructures are prepared well.
Head of Pertamina Manado Branch Rahman Pramono says for the early stage, we will prepare 20 gas stations to later sell Pertalite fuels in North Sulawesi. Those 20 gas stations are spread throughout Manado City and several districts, as well as cities in North Sulawesi.
Currently, nozzles or fuel distributor to tank trucks and underground tanks in gas stations are in the works.
“Pertamina in Sulawesi is currently monitoring the readiness of insfrastructure and facility for Pertalite,” said Rachman.
Pertalite is the latest fuel from Pertamina with having RON-90 that is produced with additional additives during its processing in the oil factory.
Pertalite is a new variant for consumers who desires fuel with a quality that is above Premium fuel, but cheaper than Pertamax fuel.
