TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Lemari Lila, an ethnic fashion label from Yogyakarta has attracted international attention with its traditional-casual designs. Lemari Lila’s products are ranging from kebaya, dress, casual clothes, ethnick pants, and kain lilit made of plain and batik fabrics that are suitable for variety occasions.
Lila Imeldasari, the label owner, has been in the running her business online for five years. She is planning to open a physical store in Yogyakarta in the future.
“In the future, I will not only attract customers online, but people who are on travel can also stop by a workshop that I will open,” said Lila when met in a bazaar in Denpasar.
Lila claims that all fabric that she uses are Indonesian fabrics including batik, lurik, jumputan, along with Kalimantan and Bali traditional clothes.
“I have reached Germany and Italy. The ones in Germany were even exhibited at a fashion show.”
The designs are offered in different price tag starting from Rp150,000 to Rp330,000 for people with market segment for people aged 18 to 50 years old.
Lila admitted that she has a mission to introduce Indonesian fabrics to public and for people to love local products.
