TEMPO.CO, London – Sunderland have recruited former French international Anthony Reveillere for the closed season, the British Premier League announced on Thursday.
The 34-year-old back has trained with England in the past few weeks, after a free agent status following his release by Italia Napolia on pre-season.
Sunderland coach Gus Poyet has placed Reveillere in the club for Saturday’s match against Arsenal, where Sunderland will try to bounce back after a humiliating 0-8 defeat in an away match against Southampton last weekend.
Reveillere, who has played 20 times for France, started his career in Rennes. His biggest success, however, was achieved with Lyon, where he made almost 300 appearances and won five La Ligue titles.
