TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Traffic congestion on the capital’s inner-city turnpike reached the area of Cawang this morning, with vehicles heading to the area reducing their speed after entering Pondok Gede toll booth.
The average traffic speed on the turnpike was recorded at 20km/h, but with vehicles being at a standstill at some points of the toll road.
Gridlocks also took place along the East Bekasi turnpike up to the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) toll booth.
The congestion is triggered by the incoming vehicles from Bekasi and Jagorawi toll roads in Cawang.
Vehicles in the area of Kuningan, meanwhile, travels at an average speed of 20-25km/h. Traffic begins to subside after Kuningan area.
