TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President-elect Joko "Jokowi" Widodo said that he would would involve leaders of coalition parties to pick minister candidates. The new cabinet, Jokowi said, will be established in September after a discussion with the new vice president, Jusuf Kalla, and the coalition parties.
Jokowi has formed a transition team that will prepare the administration lineup for the next five years. Andi Widjajanto, one of the deputy of the transition team said that the team's function was to provide suggestions about the cabinet and institutional structure.
"We don't propose names," Andi said.
According to Jokowi, party leaders are welcomed to provide inputs about the most ideal cabinet. However, tight schedules of the party leaders have become the major obstacle to discuss the matter.
