TEMPO.CO, Surabaya - The Government of Surabaya, East Java, will hold a Cross Culture Festival (CCF) on August 28-30.

According to the Head of Culture and Tourism Department of Surabaya, Wiwiek Widayati, yesterday, the Cross Culture Festival themed "United in Indonesian Cultural Diversity (Bersatu dalam Keragaman Budaya Indonesia)" will present art attractions from various regions including West Sumatra, Central Sulawesi, Bangka Belitung, South Sulawesi, Aceh and Central Java.

The 10th CCF, whose main event will be held in Balai Budaya Surabaya Building and G Walk Citra Raya Surabaya, will also present art attractions from various countries such as South Korea, Singapore, India and China.

"The event becomes an annual routine agenda in Surabaya. We hope Surabaya can be the window display people may enjoy," Wiwiek said. Similar to the previous years, a series of the CCF activities will include workshops by local artists.

There will also be a Yosakoi and Remo Dance Festival at Taman Surya on August 24. The festival is a symbol of friendship of the two cities, Surabaya and Kochi, Japan.
