TEMPO.CO, Bogor – Bogor Mayor Bima Arya has called on the Bogor administration’s civil servants to turn down parcels and holiday bonuses from all parties from either individuals and companies.
“I instructed all personnel at all levels, including officials and civil servants at the Bogor administration not to accept gifts in any form during the Idul Fitri holiday season if they were related to their positions, lest they will be deemed as gratification,” he told Tempo on Thursday, July 24, 2014.
Bima has also asked companies and people in Bogor to refrain from giving gifts to anyone, including civil servants, at Bogor working units (SKPD).
Bima said a Bogor hospital had sent him an Idul Fitri parcel, which was sent directly to his official residence when he was out of the house. “Now I have instructed my personnel not to accept anything,” Bima said.
Bima said the Bogor administration and he, as the mayor, did give neither holiday bonuses nor parcels to Bogor civil servants. “We do not give neither parcels nor holiday bonuses to civil servants in Bogor,” he said.
