TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Crown Group, one of the largest private developer companies in Australia, today provides the latest information about one of its founders, Iwan Sunito.
Southern Courier, one of Sydney’s local media affiliated with News Corp. Agency, one of Australia's largest media groups, listed a top 20 most influential figures in New South Wales, Australia.
Southern Courier ranked Iwan Sunito in the 16th position on the list. Even Iwan Sunito's position is above Justin Hemmes, a restaurant mogul in Sydney with a fortune of AUS$ 951 million.
Iwan Sunito became the only Indonesian-born in the Southern Courier list.
Regarding Iwan Sunito, Southern Courier writes "Iwan is a person who’s not only develop an apartment but has a vision for the future. Iwan Sunito created a residential area where we can live near or above all the things we need, such as health facilities, supermarkets and even bars and restaurants."
Commenting the list, Iwan Sunito revealed, "I was surprised when I first heard the Southern Courier had included me in their Top 20 most influential people."
"There are some very high calibre people in the list, whom have made a tremendous difference to the progress of Southern Sydney."

In the top 20 list there are also famous names such as Lindsay Shurey (10) who is Mayor of Randwick, Michelle Simmons (7), a professor at UNSW who won the Australian of the Year title thanks to her dedication in quantum physics, Sam Burgees (4), a rugby league star and Harry Triguboff (2) who is the second richest person in Australia according to the Australian Financial Review with a fortune of AUS$ 12.77 billion. Harry Triguboff is also the founder of Meriton, Australia's largest developer.
Interestingly, only Iwan Sunito and Harry Triguboff that are listed on the list that coming from the developer industry.
Both of them were also born in Asia. IwanS unito was born in Surabaya, Indonesia, while Harry Triguboff was born in Dalian, China.
Currently they are both also considered one of the most successful pioneers in Australian developers industry.
"This is a solid proof of public recognition of what Crown Group’s work and achievement," added Iwan Sunito.
"Apparently "A Surabaya born" can be competitive overseas."

Crown Group recently launched its latest mix-used development, located only 6km from Sydney CBD, Eastlakes Live.
The $1 billion mixed-use development is designed by Sydney-based architects fjmt, Eastlakes Live aims to set a new standard for retail excellence with two major supermarkets with fresh food offerings reflecting the diversity of the neighborhood, a restaurant promenade, street cafes, a medical centre, as well as densely-landscaped gardens and children’s play areas.
Stage one of the Eastlakes Live development will include 134 luxury apartments ranging from one-bedroom apartments to penthouses and 12 retail outlets. Stage two of Eastlakes Live will complete the new town centre with a mix of residential and retail components, with details still to come.
