BMKG Forecasts Rainy Jakarta This Afternoon

TEMPO.Co, Jakarta The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency or BMKG forecasted a rainy afternoon in Jakarta, today, Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Meanwhile, Jakarta will be cloudy in the morning.

The rain will vary in different parts of the region, with Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands drizzled over by light rain. Medium rain will pour over West Jakarta while South Jakarta and West Jakarta hit with heavy rain with lightning.

In the evening, BMKG announced, that the weather would shift to partly cloudy except for the South, East, and West Jakarta.

The rest of Greater Jakarta (Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) will be partly cloudy this morning. Some areas, such as Greater Tangerang, are predicted to remain partly cloudy this afternoon.

The potential for rain in this area only occurred in the evening, for parts of the region. Those are Serpong (South Tangerang) and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency). Meanwhile, Tangerang City, according to BMKG, is covered in cloudy weather.

For the weather in the Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi, rain will potentially fall this afternoon, after a partly cloudy morning. Specifically in Bogor City, BMKG says the rain will be of medium intensity. Meanwhile, a drizzle will greet Bekasi, Depok, and Cibinong.

Light rain potential will occur evenly in all regions this evening. "Be alert to the potential for rain with lightning and strong winds that may occur between midday and the evening," announced the BMKG weather early warning for Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi.
