China and Indonesia Discuss Strengthening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

TEMPO.CO, Beijing, China - The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs conducted the 15th Diplomatic Consultation Meeting between Senior Officials of Indonesia and China in Xiamen, Fujian Province, on (3/2), according to the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing.
As reported from kemlu.go.id, the meeting was attended by the Director-General of Asia Pacific and Africa, Abdul Kadir Jailani, along with the Indonesian Ambassador to Beijing, Djauhari Oratmangun, Consul General of Indonesia in Guangzhou Ben Perkasa Drajat, and the Director of East Asia at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Meanwhile, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nong Rong, led the delegation of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Director-General Abdul Kadir Jailani emphasised the rapid development of bilateral relations between the two countries and Indonesia's commitment to advancing a comprehensive strategic partnership with China through mutually beneficial practical cooperation.
Both sides also agreed to implement concrete cooperation agreements reached at the State/Government and Foreign Ministers' meetings in 2023, simultaneously intensifying people-to-people relations between the two countries through dialogue, visits, and exchanges. In addition to bilateral cooperation issues from various aspects, cooperation in the context of ASEAN with China, regional, and multilateral matters was also discussed.
The 14th Diplomatic Consultation Meeting between senior officials of Indonesia and China was previously held in July 2023 in Jakarta.
