M`aruf Amin to Attend MUI`s National Sharia Board Meeting

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice presidential hopeful number 01 Ma’ruf Amin was scheduled to attend the National Sharia Board meeting of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in Mercure Hotel in Ancol, North Jakarta today morning, November 8.


“Today, [I will present at] plenary meeting of National Sharia Board, [the agenda is] drafting and ratifying fatwa (edict),” Ma’ruf told reporters before the meeting took place.


According to the organizing committee, four edicts with regards to sharia economy would be discussed during this closed meeting.


At 12 until 2 pm local times, Ma’ruf would present at Ijtima Sanawi, an annual meeting of Sharia Board, in the same location.


After dawn, Ma’ruf Amin would attend 2018 Republika Sharia Award in JW Marriot Hotel in Kuningan, South Jakarta. “I will be at Marriot this afternoon, it’s a sharia award event for several figures by Republika,” said the non-active MUI chairman.
