TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The impact of digital technology can be felt in several subsectors such as design, music, fine arts, etc.

The Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) Head Triawan Munaf said in 2016, the contribution of the creative economy to the gross domestic product (GDP) reached more than Rp1,000 trillion, this number would continue to increase to Rp1,200 trillion in 2019.

“Fashion, craft and culinary subsectors will still be the subsectors that contribute the most to the economy in the creative industry because these subsectors are more resistant to world economic shock,” Triawan said in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 17.

Bekraf will also encourage other subsectors that have the potential to help economic growth, such as films, music, art, games, and animation.

Since 2015, the Bekraf Deputy of Research, Education and Development has built excellence creative center and carried out several programs contained in it, including coding Mum, IKKON, CREATE, and ORBIT.
