TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - South Tangerang administration pledged to complete the construction project of the Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) building on November 26, 2018. The project started since 2014 would be launched in coincide with the 10th anniversary of South Tangerang City.

“We will hold a plenary meeting in the 10th anniversary of South Tangerang City, on Jalan Raya Pahlawan Seribu,” said Dendi Priyandani, the head of Building and City Planning Agency of South Tangerang City, Tuesday, October 9.

Dendi conveyed the statement as to refute the saying that the hundreds-billion project stalled. According to him, the project ran based on the procedure stipulated in Presidential Decree No. 70/2012, “and it has been audited by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

The project was hampered, he admitted, due to auction that failed or succeeded in the last minute near the deadline thus the city administration under the reign of Mayor Airin Rachmi Diany again drafted the budget.

“So, it has not been stalled. We end the construction that does not comply with the contract, and then we again allocate the budget based on the contract,” Dendi added, “now the construction focus on the interior and the landscape worth Rp146 billion.”

Dendi further denied the involvement of the blacklisted company in the project. He claimed the Procurement Services Unit (ULP) had reviewed all the process. “Every step of the project based on the Presidential Decree No. 70/2012 on Goods and Services Procurement.”
