TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Survey Circle (LSI) Denny JA researcher Adjie Al Faraby said that Democratic Party’s stance of exhibiting lack of loyalty towards one political party in the 2019 general elections will only hurt the party itself.

“As a party that has officially declared support for Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno in the presidential election, the democratic party should show more optimum support,” said Adjie yesterday at the pollster’s headquarters in Rawamangun, Jakarta.

He suggests that several central figures in the Democratic Party such as its chairman Susilo ‘SBY’ Bambang Yudhoyono and his son Agus ‘AHY’ Harimurti Yudhoyono must meet the people directly in a grassroots campaign for Prabowo-Sandiaga.

“They should be consistent, which will only improve Democratic Party from Prabowo’s followers and see that they are also part of team,” he said.

However, if the Democratic Party continues to allow a number of dispensation for a number of its members to support Jokowi-Ma’aruf Amin, who are Prabowo’s rival in the 2019 presidential election, then he believes that the Democratic Party will receive nothing.
