TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Speaker Prasetio Edi Marsudi compared the work performance of Sandiaga Uno and Joko `Jokowi` Widodo when both men took office in the Jakarta administration in each respective eras.

Prasetio led the plenary meeting (Paripurna) of Sandiaga Uno’s resignation from his position as Jakarta deputy governor.

A similar situation happened when Jokowi resigned from his position as Jakarta's governor to run for the presidential election in 2014. “Ten months have yet to produce [significant results], [he] cannot talk like Jokowi,” said Edi Marsudi who is also an Indonesian Democrat Party of Struggle (PDIP) politician.

Prasetio compared what Jokowi had done during his 2-year tenure as Jakarta's governor to Sandiaga Uno who was Jakarta’s deputy governor for under one year. Sandiaga Uno and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan were inaugurated into office on October 2017.

According to Prasetio, Sandiaga Uno had not fulfilled his entire campaign promises. Averagely, he mostly had done work programs such as the OK O-TRIP program, OK-OCE, and the zero percent down payment housing among others.

Prasetio compared it to Jokowi’s strategic programs such as the Jakarta mass rapid transit (MRT), the relocation of Pluit Reservoir residents and Rio-Rio Reservoir. “Hopefully following Sandiaga Uno’s resignation, his replacement will be able to carry out Sandiaga’s tasks,” said Prasetio.
