Govt Prepares Rp5 tn to Raise 2019 Civil Servant Salary

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Director General of Budget at the Finance Ministry Askolani said the government had budgeted Rp5 trillion to increase the salary of civil servants in 2019.


“The salary is around Rp5 to 6 trillion,” Askolani said, Friday, August 17. As for the 13th salary and holiday allowance (THR), it is still the same as in 2018. He added that the rise is 5 percent.


The budget for the salary increase of central civil servants in 2019 is included in the State Budget (APBN), while the salary increase for the regional civil servants is included in the Regional Budget (APBD).


Yesterday, President Joko Widodo or Jokowi mentioned the government’s plan to increase the civil servant salary and pension fund by 5 percent in 2019. It is carried out as a continuation of the payroll policy that has been carried out in 2018.
