Sutopo said the most victims came from North Lombok at 334 people, followed by West Lombok at 30 people, Mataram 9 people, East Lombok 10 people, Central Lombok 2 people, and Denpasar City 2 people.

He said the number has been already verified and would likely rise considering many people still buried in the debris and many have not been listed or reported to the post.

In addition to the casualties, a total of 13,688 people were severely injured and 38,067 people were evacuated. “It's a temporary number of evacuees because many others are not listed yet,” he explained.

The BNPB spokesperson mentioned the regional government extended the emergency period until August 25. According to Sutopo, the longest time was required since the aids have not reached several regions of Lombok yet, including Gangga, Kayangan, Pemenang District.
