The Indonesian Female Divers (WASI) led by the wife of National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian organized the event in an attempt to break the Indonesia World Record Museum (MURI) by spreading the national Merah-Putih (red-white) flag under Manado waters.
The location was set in Manado Beach, Mega Mas, North Sulawesi. Many residents also flocked to witness the event. “I deliberately came with my friends to see it,” said Noni Solomonsz, a Manado resident.
