TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno today, July 20, officially launched OK OCE Store in Jl. TB Simatupang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. The shop was opened as a marketplace of groceries and products of OK OCE entrepreneurship program.
“Thanks to God, OK OCE Store is finally opened,” said Sandiaga. He pinned hope the store would also open job employment as well as provide groceries at affordable prices.
The price of products displayed in OK OCE store was said to be cheaper than that of in general markets. For example, the chicken eggs were priced at Rp19,500 per kilogram compared to the recent price that was increased up to Rp30,000 per kilogram.
Sandiaga said OK OCE Store synergized with the city-owned enterprises (BUMD) Food Station Tjipinang Jaya thus it would offer lower prices and that he considered as a key to overcoming the price hike ahead of Ramadan and Eid last year.
Food Station Tjipinang Java president director, Arief Prasetyo, said OK OCE Store would provide groceries including chicken eggs, flour, cooking oil, rice, and others. “It [the price] is cheap because it’s supplied directly from the source,” said Arief.
Sandiaga Uno warned the public to not misuse the cheaper price by piling up the groceries and reminded all to maintain the cleanliness of the shop as well as avoid food preservative and artificial food coloring.
The OK OCE Store launched by Sandiaga Uno was located adjacent to Center of Seed Development and Plant Conservation of Jakarta Maritime, Fisheries and Food Security Agency in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.
