TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Great Sale Festival or FJGS will be held from August 12 to September 4, to mark the 10th anniversary of the biggest discount event. Chief Executive 2018 FJGS as well as Chairman of the Association of Jakarta Shopping Centers, Ellen Hidayat admitted, the implementation of FJGS this year is different from last year.

“Usually, the FJGS is held in June to coincide with the anniversary of Jakarta, this year it is held in August to enliven the 2018 Asian Games. It is expected that athletes, supporters, domestic and foreign visitors can participate in discount events in 82 shopping centers in five areas of Jakarta. It is time for Jakarta to show itself as a good host,” said Ellen in Jakarta, Thursday, July 12.

FJGS is commonly known for its midnight sale. For this year, midnight sale is presented every week alternately in 13 malls. In addition, there will be shopper-card lottery price in 39 malls with total prize Rp140 million. FJGS Committee will also hold a mass blood donation event at 36 malls in Jakarta.

“This is in line with the theme of this year's 'Spirit of Jakarta'. The spirit to be demonstrated is to be a friendly host and to share the goodness with others, Ellen said.

As many as 82 shopping centers, including its tenants and 8 hotels will participate in this year's Jakarta Great Sale Festival.
