TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - There are two strategies applied by the production houses of Max Pictures and Falcon Pictures after the Dilan 1990 film, booming earlier this year. First, releasing the Dilan 1990 film on DVD format in collaboration with KFC, a fast food restaurant.

Producer of Max Pictures, Ody Mulya Hidayat said the release of the economic package of Dilan 1990 on DVD format is one way to fight against piracy. He hopes people can see a good intention and re-buy the original DVD. The second reason is to prepare the sequel.

“I hastened the sequel project of Dilan 1990 since Iqbaal Ramadhan has many activities,” said Ody Mulya Hidayat to tabloidbintang.com in Jakarta, this week.

There is a circulating issue that mentioned the sequel of Dilan 1990 will be split into two parts. It reminds us of Comic 8: Casino King, Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! and Benyamin Biang Kerok. Ody denied the issue.

“Not (split into) part 1 and 2, but straight to the second and third filming of Dilan.” The two sequels of the second and third novels, not splitting the Dilan 1991 into two films, that's wrong,” Ody confirmed.

He added that so far the sequel of Dilan 1990 has completed 50 percent.

"The target is, in August, the script will be finished, no revisions again. In December, we will start the filming,” he said.
