Surabaya Church Bombing, Death Toll Rises to 10 People

TEMPO.CO, Surabaya - The number of victims of bomb explosions in Surabaya church has just increased. Head of Public Relations Division of East Java Regional Police Commissioner Frans Barung Mangera said the death toll rises to 10 dead and 41 injured.


"So far there have been 10 dead, 8 victims among them have not been identified and 2 have been identified," Barung said during a press briefing on Sunday, April 13.

Barung said 2 identified died victims had been taken to Surabaya Surgery Hospital and Dr Soetomo Hospital.


"Wait for the Chief of Police to come," he said.

"The 8 bomb victims are still at the scene and have not been identified because the Inafis team and the forensic team have not allowed," Barung said, adding that more details would be given by National Police Chief Tito Karnavian.
