Terrorist Inmates at Mako Brimob Moved to Nusakambangan

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 155 terrorist inmates that had surrendered after the riot in Mobile Brigade Headquarter or Mako Brimob, Kelapa Dua, Depok were moved to Nusakambangan Prison, Cilacap, Central Java.
"They have been moved, they’re on the way now,” said Police Deputy Chief Comr. Gen. Syafruddin today, May 10, in Mako Brimob, Depok.
Syafruddin ensured there was no inmate injured or died during the operation of the hostage release that lasted for 40 hours as they use soft approaches.

He appreciated all police officers and anti-terrorism squad Densus 88 who succeeded to run the operation in strong-mindedness, patients and calm so there was no casualty.
Earlier at around 07:23 am, three explosions along with gunshot sound were heard. The Mako Brimob Chief Rudi Sufriyadi explained the explosions were the effort to break down the room that allegedly used as a storage of the bombs and weapons seized by the prisoners.
He explained the terrorist inmates during the 40-hour riots had confiscated the police evidence such as explosive materials used to make bombs and assembled firearms that have not been transferred yet by the investigators in Mako Brimob.
