TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The former chairman of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Abraham Samad expressed his readiness should he is appointed as a vice presidential candidate for the 2019 election.
“I’m ready whenever the mandate comes. If you ask [my readiness], I'm 100 percent ready,” said Abraham to the reporters in Yogyakarta, Sunday night, April 15.
Abraham admitted that there were two political parties that have met him in regards to the 2019 Presidential Election. However, he claimed he could not decide to be Jokowi or Prabowo’s running mate. “I have to perform istikhara prayers first to accompany A or B,” he said.
Abraham asserted that he had acknowledged the pattern of natural resources in Indonesia as well as its huge potential that could be obtained from it if it is managed professionally. He also ensured that law would not take sides to the rich or the people in power.
According to Abraham Samad, Indonesia’s leader should have a national interest which favors the management of natural resources, food management, income resources, and improvement in the sector of health and education.
