Big Bad Wolf 2018, 70 Percent are Children`s Books

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - As many as 70 percents of books displayed in 2018 Big Bad Wolf are in children genre, said Uli Silalahi, the President Director of PT Jaya Retail Indonesia who managed the fair.


"I see the great enthusiasm of children in reading," Uli said in ICE BSD Tangerang where the biggest book bazaar took place, on Sunday, April 1.

Uli said, in 2016, Big Bad Wolf provides 30 percent of children books. While in 2017, that was raised by 50 percent.


Big Bad Wolf or BBW mostly provides 80 percent of American and Britain books and the rest 20 percent are domestic.


People show enthusiasm for this book fair as it has millions of books selection. Moreover, the price is affordable which the management kicks off a discount of 60-80 percent.


The genre of the books are diverse, ranging from fiction, nonfiction, to pop-up books. Other than Indonesian and English books, many Mandarin books are also displayed in the fair.


The 2018 Big Bad Wolf provides around 5.5 million books for visitors, especially the book enthusiast. The event will be held for 280 hours nonstop starting from March 29 to April 9 at ICE Hall BSD, Tangerang.
