TEMPO.CO, Karanganyar - Chairman of the Berkarya Party, Hutomo Mandala Putra alias Tommy Soeharto asked the local party officials to take part in 2018 regional elections. They were asked to support to one of the candidate pairs.

It was confirmed when he opened the 3rd National Leadership Party Meeting held at Lor In Hotel Karanganyar, Central Java, Saturday, March 10. “The time is short, only two months,” said Tommy.

According to him, the election is a momentum that should not be missed. “We must have the attitude of knowing who we should support,” he said. They will join the established coalitions.

Tommy said as a new party, the steps are taken have risks, especially when the candidates are defeated. “The party will certainly be affected,” he said.

According to him, the candidate who lost can still be withdrawn to join the new party. Because at least they still have supporters who can be used as a vote booster in the upcoming 2019 general election.

“We ask the regional administration to determine which candidates that can be supported,” he said.

On the other hand, if a supported candidate wins, it will be a great advantage to his party. “Hopefully our cadres will get a good position,” said Tommy Soeharto.
