Teacher Attackers Get Arrested

TEMPO.CO, Mataram - East Lombok Police in East Nusa Tenggara arrested two suspects allegedly attacking Basarun Mustajab (29), an honorary teacher of Rarang 4 Public Elementary School.


"The suspects were arrested. They were put behind bars on Thursday evening," East Lombok Police’s Criminal unit head AKP Joko Tamtomo said in Mataram on Friday, Feb. 16.


East Lombok Police arrested the suspects to ease investigation and prevent the suspects from fleeing.

The two suspects alleged to attack Basarun Mustajab on Saturday, Feb. 3. The attack was committed by a student’s father and brother in class VI B and it was witnessed by students who were studying.


The incident began when two students of class VI B had a bicker and the teacher tried to ask them to apologize to each other. However, one student did not want to do it and then Basarun told him that he would move one of them to class VI A.


After that, the student got scared and cried asking for his parents to pick him up. Minutes later, his father and his brother came and beat Basarun up.
