TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three sub-districts in Bandung Regency are inundated by river water since Tuesday. About 1,500 houses in the areas are submerged in water up to 1.5 meters.
The sub-districts are Baleedah, Bojongsoang, and Dayeuhkolot. According to Bandung's Disaster Management Agency chief Tata Irawan, water has been spilling from the creeks of Citarum River since November 7.

"There are 1,567 homes flooded in the three sub-districts," he told Tempo on Thursday, November 9.
Torrential rain has caused the Citarum River to overflow. Additionally, Tata said, the river's sedimentation is increasing, making the water rise up faster.
Tata said the Bandung's sub-district that is most affected by the flood is Dayeuhkolot, where more than 1,000 houses are inundated. Residents have been evacuated to a number of shelters.
