TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The AirAsia Indonesia management officially extended an apology for the recent incident where AirAsia Flight QZ535 from Perth, Australia, heading to Bali rapidly descended 23,800 feet (7,250 meters) midair after the airline’s cabin experienced a depressurization at 34,000 feet (10,363 meters) on Sunday, October 15.

Baskoro Adiwiyono, the AirAsia corporate secretary and spokesperson, represented the airline management to extend the official apology. He explained that the incident was caused by a technical difficulty that forced the pilot to divert back to Perth 25 minutes into the flight.
