Jokowi Receives Delegates of Olympic Council of Asia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Jusuf Kalla receive the delegates of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta this morning.
Jokowi welcomed the delegates lead by OCA President Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah at the main room of the Palace at 9:15 Jakarta time.
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nachrawi and the Indonesian Olympics Committee chair Erick Tohir accompanied the President and Vice President in the meeting with the sports organization that has 45 member states.
The Olympic Council of Asia was founded in New Delhi, India, on December 5 following the Asian Games Federation meeting on November 26, 1981, that was attended by delegates of Asia’s national Olympic committees.
