TEMPO.CO, California - Google is developing new applications based on augmented reality (AR) technology. The name, ARCore, is specific to Android-based operating system devices.
According to Reuters, Google will try the app on Samsung Galaxy S8 and Pixel. In the Google blog, this app will be launched for 100 million users. However, it is not known when they will release it.
The popularity of the AR-based apps is in great demand when Pokémon Go games were released. Apple also creates a similar application called ARKit which will be present in the near future on Apple devices.
Google once created AR Tango system. This system uses special sensors. Unfortunately, only two mobile manufacturers can support the technology.
The company’s founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin are currently exploring the possibility of other phones outside the Galaxy S8 and Pixel. Because, according to them, not all Android camera features support this technology.
