UGM Crowned Indonesia Robotic Contest Overall Champion

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Gadjah Mada University (UGM) robotic team has been crowned the overall champions of the Indonesia Robotic Contest 2017 held at the Indonesia University of Education. UGM won one gold medal, two bronze medals and an award for best artistic design in five categories being competed.
The UGM robotic team won first prize in Firefighting Legged Robot Contest. A robot made by Al Fatih team defeated the one assembled by Dome team of Malang Muhammadiyah University who finishes in second place and that of third-placed Eilero Team of Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic. The best robot design award was won by Abinara-1 team of Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) and the Algorithm was awarded to D’Avecenna 1.7 team of Sultan Agung Islamic University.

In Wheeled Robot Football Contest, Gerhana Dewaruci team of Surabaya State Shipbuilding Polytechnic ended-up the champion. In the final match on Sunday, they defeated R2C Warrior team of Satya Wacana Christian University and Ersow team of Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic to second and third places. The best design and innovation award was grabbed by Al-Jazari of Sepuluh November Institute of Technology.
The first place in Indonesia Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Humanoid was won by Belerang FC of Batam State University. The second place belongs to Ichiro team of Sepuluh November Institute of Technology and third place fell to Eros team (Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic).
In Indonesia Dance Robot Contest (KRSTI), Alfan team of UGM won third place and best artistic design award. They ranked behind winner Rosemary team of Yogyakarta State University and second placed Erisa team of Surabaya State Electronics Polytechnic.
