TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla today, April 27, opened the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2017 at the JI Expo in Jakarta.

Kalla expects that the IIMS could help Indonesia to catch up with the latest development in global auto industry.

“The challenges in automotive technology continue to grow, we expect Indonesia to become not only a market and car seller but also to master the latest technology,” the Vice President said in his opening speech.

“People these days demand not only quality vehicles, they also pay attention to fuel efficiency, low maintenance costs and the latest is low gas emission,” he added.
