Jokowi Unveils Mitsubishi`s New Plant in Bekasi

TEMPO.CO, Bekasi - President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi today, April 25, unveils a new plant belonging to PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia in GIIC Industrial Area, Deltamas, Bekasi, West Java.


Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto, State Secretary Minister Pratikno, the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) chief Thomas Lembong, West Java Deputy Governor Dedy Mizwar and PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia executive officers accompany Jokowi in the inauguration of the plant built on 51 hectares of land.


PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors president director Hisashi Ishimaki earlier explains that to follow through on the company’s commitment, the plant will commence production in April 2017, with a capacity of 160,000 vehicles per year, including 80,000 small MPVs, 30,000 units of Pajero Sport and 30,000 units of L300.


The company says it aspires to become one of the largest manufacturers of small MPVs in Indonesia.
