TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of General Information of the Indonesian National Police Comr. Sr. Martinus Sitompul said that 7 out of 10 people who were arrested for alleged treason and spreading provocative information coinciding with the 2 December mass gathering on 2 December 2016 have been released.
“Seven people have been released based on the subjectivity of the investigators,” Martinus said in Jakarta on Saturday.
However, Martinus said that three suspects are still detained, namely Jamran, Rizal, and Sri Bintang Pamungkas.
He added that they have been detained since Friday at 10 pm. According to Martinus, the police consider that the three suspects have committed crimes.
“Two people have allegedly violated Law on ITE, while the other one has allegedly committed treason,” he said.
Martinus also said that the police have evidence to arrest the three and the evidence include videos, information spread on social media and verbal documents that lead to alleged treason.
