TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Pollster Indikator Politik Indonesia said that the electability of incumbent Jakarta Gubernatorial hopefuls Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama and Djarot Saiful Hidayat continued to plummet to 26.2 percent, based on a survey results released on Thursday, November 24, 2016.

Ahok-Djarot's electability fell down below one of their rivals Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono-Sylviana Murni who managed to gather 30.4 percent of supports. Another candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno came in third in terms of popularity with 24.5 percent of supports.

Indikator Politik Indonesia executive director Burhanuddin Muhtadi said in Jakarta on Thursday, November 24, 2016, that the number of supports for Ahok dropped significantly over the last five months "by 18.6 percent."

The survey was conducted from November 15-22, 2016 through direct interviews with 798 respondents. The survey had a margin of error of 3.6 percent.

However, Burhanuddin revealed that Ahok still remains a strong candidate in the upcoming Jakarta Gubernatorial Election. Burhanuddin added that Ahok has two and a half months to conduct his campaigns and boost his electability.

"Both Ahok and Anies still have the opportunity to rebound," Burhanuddin said.
