TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo reiterated that there were political actors suspected of having taking advantage of the November 4 Rally to push their agendas.

"To me, such a condition is common. Just like I said, there were certain individuals exploiting [the rally] to push their agendas," President Jokowi said after having a meeting with former President Megawati Soekarnoputri at the Presidential Palace on Monday, November 21, 2016.

President Jokowi mentioned about the issue for the first time during a press conference after the November 4 Rally. At that time, he did not disclose names that here referred to as political actors. However, Coordinating Political, Legal, and Security Minister Wiranto said that such political actors were present during the November 4 rally. It was reported that House of Representatives deputy speakers Fahri Hamzah and Fadli Zon participated in the rally. However, the report has not been confirmed yet.

President Jokowi added that the presence of political actors amid an intense political situation is unavoidable. However, he suggested that such agendas should not cause negative impacts on the people.

"[Such agendas] should not be aimed to weaken the Diversity in Unity, let alone the Pancasila [Five Principles]," Jokowi added.

In response to a question whether he would invite the political actors in the future, considering that Megawati had suggested to invite party leaders, President Jokowi declined to answer, saying that the suggestion would be considered.
