TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Immigration personnel at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (SHIA) debarred two Moroccan women, identified as FZE (22) and SEM (21), from entering Indonesia on Saturday (Nov. 12).

"Both (the women) failed to show enough evidence of they intended to bear their cost of living," head of public relations and general affairs of the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, Heru Santoso, stated in a press release received here on Saturday.

The two women hailing from Morocco who arrived on board the Emirates Airlines flight EK-356 were being questioned by immigration officials about immigration related documents.

Heru further noted that both had claimed to have come as tourists for a three weeks stay in Indonesia but could not show enough evidence about the cost of living.

Both also could not provide clear information as to what was their destination after having landed in Indonesia.

"(The women) are allegedly involved in a prostitution ring," Heru disclosed.
