TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Data, Information, and Public Relations Center for the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said that heavy rain had resulted in the floods and landslides in Banjar, West Java.

“Heavy rain for two days in a row has caused the flooding and landslide,” Sutopo said on Monday, October 10, 2016.

The disaster happened on Sunday, October 9, 2016, and is currently being addressed by the Banjar City’s BNPB along with BPBD. A 20-50 centimeter depth flood has hit a number of villages and the data of the houses affected is still being collected.
