In 2019, Tourism to be Indonesia Biggest Foreign Exchange Source

TEMPO.CO, Palu - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Arif Yahya said that in 2019, tourism sector would be Indonesia's biggest foreign exchange source.


"In 2019, the tourism sector is predicted to be the largest foreign exchange earner for Indonesia," Arif said in Palu on Saturday (24/9).


According to Arif, the target is not without reason given that current prices of natural resource sectors, such as oil, gas, coal, and oil, have decreased.


"Therefore, the tourism sector could become the largest source of foreign exchange," he said.


Arif further said that there are three sources of the country's biggest foreign exchange, namely trade, investment, and tourism.
