BCA Receives Rp 8.7 Trillion of Tax Amnesty Retribution Fund

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Central Asia (BCA) has collected Rp 8.7 trillion of retribution fees from the tax amnesty program, said BCA president director Jahja Setiaatmadja.


"We are currently monitoring the retribution fees. If I'm not mistaken, we have received Rp 8.7 trillion," Jahja said said at BCA Tower in Central Jakarta on Monday, September 19, as quoted by Antaranews.


The amount received by BCA makes up almost one-third of the total retribution fees from taxpayers in the tax amnesty program of Rp 23.5 trillion received as of 5:00 PM Western Indonesia Time on Monday, September 19, 2016, according to the total reported Asset Declaration Letters (SPH).


Jahja said BCA has yet to set any target for retribution fees and repatriated funds to be collected in the tax amnesty program. "We don't want to set any target since we have no experience [in tax amnesty], but [incoming funds] are welcome, we will accommodate it," Jahja explained.
