Six Top Holiday Destinations to Go in Surabaya

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The long holiday weekend before the Eid al-Adha, which falls on 9 to 12 September 2016, is just around the corner.


Below are some travel destinations that could be a reference for those who plan to visit Surabaya:


1. Kenjeran Park (Ken Park)


KenPark is one of the tourist icons in Surabaya. Inside, there are several interesting things like Waterpark swilling pool, Studio Agung temple, the four face Buddha statue, the statue of the Goddess Kwan Im, and many more.



2. Surabaya Zoo (KBS)


Surabaya Zoo is one of the family fun attractions to visit. In addition, KBS can also be an educational recreation site as it helps children to see different types of animals.


Surabaya Zoo is located at Jl. Setail no. 1, beside the suro fish and crocodiles statue, which is an icon of Surabaya. With a ticket price of Rp 10,000 per person, visitors can roam the entire zoo.


For those of you who want to visit KBS, please come to visit from 08:00 until 17:00 pm.



3. Ciputra Waterpark


Ciputra Waterpark is the biggest tourist site in Indonesia and even in Southeast Asia and is located in Waterpark Boulevard, Citraland "The Singapore of Surabaya" on western Surabaya.


There are a wide variety of rides that can be enjoyed by visitors, Roc Thunder Ride, Marina Lagoon, Sinpad Playground, Syracuse Beach, and Racer Slider.


Admission ticket to this tour are different between weekdays and weekends. Admission price for weekdays (Tuesday-Friday) us Rp 110,000 and for weekends (Saturday-Sunday) it is to Rp 130,000.



4. Tugu Pahlawan Surabaya Museum


This educational tour is located on Jalan Pahlawan Surabaya. For those of you who want to vacation while learning about the history of Indonesia, the educational tour is suitable for a visit. The museum was established in 2000 and located in the Tugu Pahlawan field is known as one of the destinations of Surabaya.



5. Mangrove Forest


Travel Wonorejo Mangrove Forest is located at Jalan Raya Wonorejo, Rungkut, Surabaya. By visiting the tour, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the lush mangrove forest.



6. House of Sampoerna


One tourist destination city of Surabaya that is also worth a visit is House of Sampoerna. To visit this place, you do not need to pay the ticket. The museum is located on Jalan Taman Sampoerna 6, Krembangan, Customs Cantikan, Surabaya.


You can see directly the manufacturing of cigarettes by using traditional tools and made by thousands of women workers. In addition, the museum holds a variety of interesting works of art. House of Sampoerna is open every day starting at 9 a.m. to 22:00 pm.
