TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pelni (Persero) offers the 2016 Maritime Tourism package, entitled Ship Xperience: New Way to Explore Wonderful Indonesia. The package offers five tourism destinations, namely Labuan Bajo, Derawan, Raja Ampat, Wakatobi, and Bandaneira.
Pelni has added three new destinations, after offering only Raja Ampat and Wakatobi in the previous year.
"Our concept is live on board. But Pelni vessels are equipped with top facilities. We provide a hot-water shower, food, and electricity," said Corporate Secretary of Pelni, Didik Dwi Prasetio.
Visitors will be taken on a vessel for 4 days and 3 nights. They can also choose their package, based on several classes. The vessel has also on deck equipment for snorkeling.
The packages are sold at Rp3 million at the cheapest and Rp9 million at the most expensive.
"The five maritime tour destinations has its own tourist attraction. Raja Ampat with its coral reefs, Labuan Bajo with its Komodo dragons, and Derawan with its jellyfishes. The onboard experience will give them insights about Indonesian maritime," he added.
