TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Ade “Akom” Komarudin claimed that he had yet to receive any letter of the replacement for the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) director from President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. “As of now, not yet,” he said at Nusantara III building, the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, August 22, 2016.

Earlier, President Jokowi has reportedly sent a nomination letter of the National Police deputy chief Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan to replace Sutiyoso as BIN director.

According to Akom, the first procedure to be taken by the DPR leaders after receiving such letter from the president is to hold a legislative leaders meeting. Thereafter, it will be introduced to a plenary. “If I have received [the letter], it would certainly be read [in the plenary],” he said.

Akom said the DPR will hold a plenary on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. However, he confirmed that the replacement for BIN director was not on the agenda. “Tomorrow [Tuesday] we will discuss the state budget, to hear the opinions from factions,” he said.
