President Holds Limited Cabinet Meeting in N Sumatra`s Simalungun

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held a limited cabinet meeting on Saturday night at Hotel Inna in Prapat, Simalungun district, North Sumatra.


The meeting, which started at 7:00 p.m. local time, discussed progress in Indonesia becoming a global maritime axis.


"It was almost two years since we talked about the maritime axis. Some of it has been realized, while others have not," said the president, who was clad in a long-sleeved white shirt.


Present at the meeting were Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs/Acting Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya, and State Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Asman Abnur, as well as chief of the presidential staff office Teten Masduki, and chief of the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) Triawan Munaf.


Other ministers who attended the meeting included National Development Planning Minister/Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Bambang Brodjonegoro, State Enterprises Minister Rini Soemarno, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, and Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.


The ministers wore long-sleeved white shirts.
