GIIAS 2016 Gets 190,000 Visitors in Four Days

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The largest automotive exhibition, Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2016, has already raked 190,000 visitors in just four days. According to Seven Events GIIAS Project Director Romi, the considerable number of vehicle manufacturers and industry players appearing in the event help spur the enthusiasm of visitors.
This shows that the GIIAS 2016 is the most eagerly-awaited automotive exhibition, according to GIIAS 2016’s official website on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
The GIIAS 2016 organized on August 11-21 2016 in the Indonesian Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD, Serpong, Tangerang, presents 34 brands. In addition to the 33 new and concept cars to be launched in the event.
Previously, Gaikindo Chairman Sudirman Maman Rusdi say the transaction of GIIAS 2016 will at least match the previous year’s expo which raked a whopping Rp 5.7 trillion with 451,000 visitors. “There’s a possibility that the number of transactions and visitors will increase,” he said.
The GIIAS 2016 has a theme of Green Technology for a Better Future. Through this theme, national automotive industry players invites society to adopt an environmentally friendly driving data-style while simultaneously using green technology. Some of the concept vehicles contributing in the event includes the hydrogen-fueled Toyota FCV and Honda Clarity Fuel Cell.
