BTN Issues Rp3tn Sustainable Bonds with 8.75% Coupon

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-State-owned Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) will issue Rp3 trillion worth of bonds. According to the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI/C-BEST), the bond—named the Bank BTN's Sustainable Bond II Phase 2 Year 2016—will be divided into two series.


Series A has a total issuance value of Rp1.34 trillion and a coupon of 8.2 percent. The bond series has a three-year tenor and will mature on August 30, 2019.


Series B values at Rp1.65 trillion with a coupon of 8.75 percent. It is a five-year bond that will mature on August 30, 2021.


BTN will pay the coupons every three months. The first interest payment will be on November 30, 2016.


The offering period is from August 23 to 25. Allotment period is the day after or on August 26, while the electronic distribution will take place on August 30. The bonds will be listed in the in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on August 31, 2016.


This bond offering is the second phase of BTN's Sustainable Bond II that has been effective since June 29, 2015, with a total target of Rp6 trillion. In July last year, BTN issued the first phase of the BTN's Sustainable Bond II year 2015, with an issuance value of Rp3 trillion.
