Dead Bodies of Executed Drug Convicts Sent Out of Nusakambangan

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Four ambulances were seen carrying the executed death-row convicts heading their way out from the Nusakambangan Penitentiary, Central Java. The codes on the ambulances indicated the executed inmates; number 11 for Seck Osmane, number 9 for Michael Titus, number 7 for Freddy Budiman, and 6 for Humprey Ejike. The ambulances head out alternately at 04:35 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), on Friday, July 29, 2016.
The convoy of ambulances were guarded by police cars at the front and followed by the relatives` cars from behind. The ambulances were also heavily guarded by police personnel when exiting the penitentiary.
Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes of the Attorney General`s Office, Noor Rachmad stated that four of the 14 death-row convicts had been executed. He sent deepest regrets to their relatives.
On behalf of the team, please accept our deepest sympathies. This act is not for eliminating one`s life, but for eliminating the evil action," said Rachmad.
Titus` body will be brought to Cikini Hospital, Central Jakarta; Freddy will be brought to Bharatu Sedayu cemetery, Jalan Krembangan Baru Vii/6A Surabaya, East Java; Humprey to be brought to Eka Pralaya Crematorium, Banyumas, Central Java; Osmane will be brought to St Carolus Hospital, Central Jakarta.
The execution was done at 00:45 WIB on Friday at Panaluan, Nusakambangan, Central Java. Ten more death-row inmates are still waiting for their turn at the Nusakambangan Penitentiary isolation room. "They will have their turn on the next execution," said Rachmad.
