43 Taxpayers Join Tax Amnesty Program

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Director of Services, Education, and Public Relations of the Directorate General of Taxes of Ministry of Finance Hestu Yoga Saksama said that until the fourth day of the implementation of the tax amnesty program or Friday night (22/7), the number of taxpayers who participated in the program had reached 43.


"Friday afternoon, there have been 34 people. Later that night, there are already 43 people. The amount gained from this tax amnesty program reaches nearly Rp 400 billion, with the ransom amount of Rp 7-8 billion, "Hestu said on Sunday.


On Friday, Deputy to the Finance Minister Mardiasmo said that declared the amount gained from the tax amnesty program has reached around Rp 400 billion, while, the amount of ransom was paid in tax amnesty participants has exceeded USD 6 billion.


Hestu added Tax Directorate was quite surprised by the enthusiasm of people who want to join the program.
